![]() ![]() I wouldn't even care if the story missions didn't require you to do stealth only heists. Then you lose all your progress and go back to the beginning and repeat the song and dance until the stars align, you get the perfect guard patrols, the objective is placed in a good location, and can finally escape 30 attempts later more frustrated than satisfied. Wasted a pager because you shot a guard that snuck up on you? Restart. Guard found a body bag in room you thought they wouldn't go into? Restart. That's a long time when the only thing you have to do is stare at silhouettes.įurthermore there is absolutely no tolerance for mistakes. Unfortunately most stealth heists have one intended route and you just have to sit on your hands until the guards move out of the way which can take minutes. This wouldn't be a problem if there was multiple routes you could approach the objective from. ![]() Because you only get a handful pager answers you're incentivised to kill as few guards as possible. Every time I've done a stealth heist it's an exercise in hiding in corners waiting for guard rotations to perfectly sync up so I can finally press F on the objective. I've played 168 hours of payday 2, almost all of that on solo with bots on loud heists. submitted by /u/TechSuportScam ĭont know why, but they look kinda badass ngl. I'm just putting my thoughts out there, let me know what you think. We get to know the characters, learn more about our contractors, get more lore to the story and can overall explore the world of Payday much better than the previous games have. I feel like if cutscenes produced much like the live action trailers it would add so much to the engagement of the story. ![]() Payday's promotional trailers are amazing. I'd make one small addition to make the story that much better. If the next Payday is really coming out I feel that the idea could be explored a lot more, and be given more thought. While there IS a story mode of some sorts in Payday 2, it's just a glorified organisation of heists into chronological order. The problem is that the only way I really could get invested in this story is through third-parties putting it into new formats. I found the story to be really interesting and fun to listen to. Particularly the Hoxton arc and the betrayal of the dentist. I've read up about it and watched many videos detailing the backstory to many of the heists. Is it just me or does Payday 2 have a really interesting story?
